J. Collins Warranty

At J. Collins, we stand behind the quality and craftsmanship of our jewelry. Our warranty program is designed to give you confidence in your purchase and provide support when eligible products experience manufacturing or craftsmanship issues.

Lifetime Warranty

J. Collins offers a Lifetime Warranty on eligible non-custom jewelry, including qualifying Stainless Steel, Gold Vermeil, and Sterling Silver pieces.

If an eligible item experiences a manufacturing defect, significant plating failure, or functional failure during normal wear, the warranty provides a one-time replacement or repair, subject to inspection and approval by J. Collins.

If the original item is no longer available, J. Collins may offer a replacement item of equal or lesser value.

Warranty claims are evaluated individually. Products must be returned to J. Collins for inspection before a warranty claim can be approved.

Once an item submitted for warranty replacement has been accepted and processed, the original damaged item may not be returned to the customer.

Warranty Processing Fees

Depending on the product and type of service required, the following processing fees may apply:

  • Stainless Steel Jewelry: $10

  • Gold Vermeil & Sterling Silver Jewelry: $30

  • Moissanite Jewelry: $50

  • Solid Gold & Custom Jewelry Repairs: Starting at $100

For jewelry containing stones, additional repair or replacement charges may apply when stones are missing or when the cost of the required repair exceeds the standard processing fee.

Shipping charges associated with returning an item to J. Collins may also apply.

What the Lifetime Warranty Covers

The J. Collins Lifetime Warranty is intended to cover eligible defects associated with the materials, manufacturing, or craftsmanship of qualifying jewelry.

Coverage may include:

  • Manufacturing defects

  • Defective clasps or closures

  • Structural failures resulting from a manufacturing defect

  • Significant premature plating failure under normal use

  • Other craftsmanship-related defects determined by J. Collins upon inspection

What the Lifetime Warranty Does Not Cover

The Lifetime Warranty does not cover damage resulting from misuse, accidents, improper care, unauthorized alterations, or normal wear and tear.

Examples of circumstances that may not be covered include:

  • Scratches, dents, or cosmetic wear resulting from normal use

  • Broken chains resulting from pulling, snagging, or accidental damage

  • Lost or stolen jewelry

  • Lost pendants, chains, earrings, or other components

  • Damage caused by chemicals, perfumes, cleaning agents, chlorine, or other harsh substances

  • Damage caused by improper cleaning or storage

  • Unauthorized repairs, modifications, resizing, or alterations

  • Intentional or accidental physical damage

  • Excessive wear inconsistent with normal jewelry use

J. Collins reserves the right to determine whether damage qualifies as a manufacturing defect after inspecting the product.

Products Excluded From the Lifetime Warranty

Unless specifically stated otherwise on the applicable product page, the Lifetime Warranty does not apply to:

  • Custom or personalized jewelry

  • Solid Gold jewelry

  • Lab-Grown Diamond jewelry

  • Watches

These products may be covered by separate warranty or repair policies.

Custom Jewelry Warranty & Repairs

Because custom jewelry is produced specifically according to the customer's selected design, specifications, sizing, or personalization, custom jewelry is considered final sale unless otherwise required by applicable law.

J. Collins provides a 30-Day Quality Guarantee on custom jewelry beginning from the confirmed delivery date.

If your custom piece experiences a verified manufacturing or craftsmanship defect within the first 30 days, J. Collins will provide a one-time complimentary repair, subject to inspection and approval.

The 30-Day Quality Guarantee does not cover customer-caused damage, including:

  • Accidental breakage

  • Improper handling or storage

  • Lost or missing stones resulting from impact or misuse

  • Damage caused by chemicals or improper cleaning

  • Unauthorized repairs or modifications

  • Normal wear and tear

Please allow approximately 4–8 weeks after J. Collins receives an approved custom piece for repair. Repair timelines may vary depending on the complexity of the jewelry, availability of materials, and extent of the work required.

Custom Jewelry Repairs After 30 Days

After the 30-Day Quality Guarantee expires, J. Collins may continue to provide repair services for eligible custom jewelry.

Custom jewelry repairs start at $100.

More extensive repairs—including replacement of stones, reconstruction, refinishing, resizing, or replacement of damaged components—may result in additional charges.

J. Collins will communicate any additional charges before proceeding with repairs requiring fees beyond the standard repair charge.

Moissanite Jewelry Warranty & Repairs

Eligible Moissanite jewelry may be submitted for warranty inspection or repair.

The standard warranty processing fee is $50.

If stones are missing or the required repair exceeds the scope of the standard warranty service, additional charges may apply. Any significant additional repair charges will be communicated before the repair is completed.

Damage resulting from impact, improper handling, unauthorized modification, or other customer-caused damage may not qualify for warranty coverage.

Solid Gold Jewelry Repairs

Solid Gold pieces are not covered by the J. Collins Lifetime Warranty unless otherwise expressly stated at the time of purchase.

J. Collins may provide repair services for eligible Solid Gold jewelry starting at $100.

Additional charges may apply depending on the extent of the damage, replacement materials required, missing stones, resizing requirements, or other repair work.

A repair estimate may be provided after the item has been inspected.

Warranty Determination

J. Collins reserves the right to inspect all products submitted under this warranty and determine whether the issue resulted from a manufacturing defect, normal wear and tear, accidental damage, improper use, unauthorized modification, or another cause.

Depending on the results of the inspection, J. Collins may elect to:

  • Repair the item

  • Replace the item

  • Offer an equivalent item of equal or lesser value when the original product is unavailable

  • Provide a repair estimate

  • Decline warranty coverage when the damage falls outside the terms of this policy

Warranty coverage applies only to the original purchaser and may require proof of purchase.

Policy Updates

J. Collins reserves the right to modify or update this warranty and repair policy as necessary. The warranty terms applicable to a purchase will generally be based on the policy in effect at the time of purchase, subject to applicable consumer protection laws.

Our objective is simple: to stand behind the craftsmanship of J. Collins jewelry while providing fair and dependable support throughout the life of your piece.
